Japan has long been hailed as a culinary paradise, world-renowned for its top-tier Wagyu beef and fresh sashimi. However, for two vegetarians like us, the fact that these delicacies are “off-limits” does not dampen our enthusiasm for travel in the slightest.
Drawing on years of experience traveling in Japan, I know well that even without touching fish or meat, one can still discover stunning flavors. Moreover, compared to the skyrocketing prices in Hong Kong in recent years, dining in Japan can absolutely be described as “high quality at a low price.” Of course, this is partly due to the fact that we save on the expensive costs of seafood and meat, making our travel budget seem even more economical.
I have never been in the habit of “letting the camera eat first” (snapping photos before eating), so I don’t have many pictures of food. Nevertheless, there were two culinary experiences on this trip that left a deep impression on me and are well worth recording.
