1.3.4 Ancient Standing Orders#
Just as modern parliaments operate under “Standing Orders,” ancient mythology adheres to similar protocols. Although the gathering during the “Month of the Gods” lasts only about a week (from the 11th to the 17th of the tenth lunar month), the agenda is incredibly tight. Strict regulations dictate exactly who may speak and the order in which they take the floor.
The most critical rule, however, is the “deadline.” Any matters that remain unresolved within this week are not simply discarded. Instead, the gods take this “unfinished business” back to their respective territories. There, over the course of the following year, they continue to make fine adjustments and arrangements based on their day-to-day observations of the world.
